what's your a/f ratio. running too lean will/can cause higher temps.
you may need to step up to a larger rad., depends upon how aggressive you were with the h/c mods.
do you have headers? any wrap or thermal barrier on them?

Car is charging at about 13 volts on my radar detector. I did a very mild cam, 222/226 574 110LSA, my heads are just 317 truck heads that have been worked by trevor johnson. I do have headers but never had a problem before the H/C. I am really hoping that it was a problem with using the wrong head gasket. I will have to wait until Fri. to find out since that was the fastest Cometic could get me a set.
