Default Is the Vararam worth it?

I may pull the trigger on a used Vararam today.

Any Vararam users please step in. Do you notice any gains, does it have that sucking sound some other CAI's i've had in the past?

IMO, yes. I do run my car at the local drags.........a lot depending on how much time I've got. My Vararam was good for .2 and 2 mph, consistently. I don't know if I could feel a SOTP improvement necessarily but track numbers tell the story. If you don't track the car, there are some nice cai out there if total quality is what you're looking for.

Yes the Vararam is worth it, it's the only aftermarket air intake/cold air kit I would ever use on my car, if I were to ever get one that is.
Not really sure why I haven't gotten one yet, I might actually be able to put my car in the 11.9s with it along with the 160 degree thermostat.

I wasn't planning on going to Carlisle this year at all and I do live only 6 miles from Cartek Racing (though even if I lived 600 miles from them they'd still be the ONLY tuner shop/Corvette specialists that I would let work on my car ) so they would clearly be my first choice of course but thanks for the offer.

The Vararam on my C5 gave me more than a 3 tenths and 3 mph improvement! And the DA was actually better on my before run that it was on my after run, so it's not like I'm comparing a summertime run without Vararam to a fall run with Vararam. It definitely works! I would imagine the C6 version is just as effective.

And one thing I love about it is that you not only feel the difference at WOT, but the part throttle response is drastically improved also. There is no other mod out there that offers the bang for the buck that this one offers.

I noticed that the vararam now comes with the Green Filter. Is that a new addition because I heard the old ones did not work that well.

Killer mod. Yes, I hear it suck in air (I love that sound) lets me know it's working. I would also recommend that you get a race mesh grill, it will help keep crap out of your cai. My $.02
