So...my boss has a 2006 Vette that's had a few issues here and there. The most annoying one that the dealer can't seem to figure out is the Climate Control. It acts as if there's a ghost in the machine. Example: Boss gets in, sets his temp to 70 degrees, drives for a while, car decides boss would be more comfortable at 65 degrees and changes the temp on it's own. This independence kick the climate control is on doesn't end with changing the temperature, it also likes to put its self into recirculation mode. The dealer has changed out the control module and has checked for codes to no avail. Any ideas....anyone? Same thing happens on his buddy's vette as well. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks much!
Two things to try:
Re-memorize the desired settings using the fob #1 and door button #1.
If that doesn't work, disconnect the battery for at least 10 minutes to reboot the system. Then reconnect and relearn the settings.
It will go in and out of recirculation mode when it thinks it needs it.
Mine does it when the car is hot inside. Not sure what is going on with the temp change.
Thanks! Please post any other ideas or if anyone else has had similar issues. Wouldn't the FOB be reset when he changes the setting manually while driving? It was my understanding the FOB stores the last known set temperature. Would the FOB be trying to over ride what he enters manually? Let me know if I'm missing something there. Thanks again for the replies!

I have inadvertently changed the temp once in a while shifting.
Make sure you're using only fob #1 and button #1.

Only changed the temp setting once on a shift from second to third? You'll have to quit granny shifting and run the car harder. My right hand knuckles have been known to change the temp setting going back into first at a light.
