Default Shift points for your A4, 315?

While lugging down a closed stretch of road yesterday I had the oppurtunity mash the pedal from a 80mph roll. I noticed my car shifted at about 5200-5500 during the 3rd to 4th upshift. After bringing my car to my local tuner and having a look at it with LS2 Edit, my car was set to shift at 134mph (3rd to 4th)....which is about 5200-500 RPM. We made an adjustment to 144mph.

What's the factory shift point?? Anyone know? I just found it strange that it was shifting so prematurely. Where do you guys have yours?

personally going at those high speeds ,I always just leave it in 3rd (manually)never see 4th

I don't care to downshift manually to 3 rd for the engine braking

no reason to shift into top gear when doing top enders

Please explain how there's no need for my A4 to shift into 4th while doing top speed runs? That makes "0" sense to me.

car will go 180 plus in third gear --and fourth gear,

leave it in third to slow down quicker

if you can maintain 130 plus for a long time, (3-4 mile stretch) then let it shift to fourth

your car will reach top end quicker by leaving itself in 3rd

car does not go faster in 4th than 3rd gear, both are same

Your trying to tell me that my A4 will do 180 in 3rd gear?? Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're saying, that's impossible. The car shifts out of 3rd at 145mph at 6200RPM boss........not sure how come up with 180? You're not even close here.

I'm not sure?? the 2 races I've had so far, well, they were all over well before we even reached those speeds. The fat lady was already singing well before 135-140 mph-lol. I never had a chance to shift to 4th gear, I had already blown them away so badly they gave up!

There's a online gear calculator that can verify that your claim is , but I can't find it.

Not sure what your asking? If your asking if I have a 10 sec ride, yes.

Excellent. Thanks for the clarification. That makes me wonder why the shift points were set for 134?
