Idle LS3

Idle LS3
Picked my 2008 LS3 up yesterday. Car idles at around 600, and has a shake which goes away around 1500. Reminds me of how my old mustand ldled with a mild cam. Only have 50 miles
Not taking it in yet but curious how other LS3 owners cars idols.

Value of forums like this. is 600RPM at idle hot about what yours does?

I just went outside to check, my car idles at 600 rpm's also.

Mine idles at 600 and has the lope. It actually rocks a bit back and for like it has a pretty nice cam in it.

Yes, mine does too. There was a thread a few weeks ago about this - apparently it is the way all LS3's idle. Me like!

Same here. Shook really bad at first, but now that I have 2500 miles on it the shaking has eased up quite a bit.

I wonder why it does idle like this... as the cam vs. the LS2 has less overlap and more lift. (I always thought overlap was what caused the lope)

Yup, most 08 owners report this lope/shake. Mine does it too.

Mine purrs like a kitten until I hit the gas. I don't feel any shake at all, but 600 rpms sound right.
