Default 2008 Dual Mode Exhaust

I plan on purchasing a new 2008 c6 within the next month, I was wondering if ordering the dual mode exhaust is worth it or buying an aftermarket exhaust Corsa/ Borla is the way to go. I plan on adding heads/ cam down the road so that will affect my decision. Any feed back from owners w/ the dual mode exhaust would be appreciated, thanks

heads cam mean lt headers, too? if so, maybe it's worth it to install your own brand of cat back or no cat (not my preference--kids gotta breathe) exhaust.

If it were me, I would go for the NPP option

I have an 07 C6 Z51, and I have been looking for the right mufflers

I added American Racing Headers with 07 stock mufflers. Made 379 RWHP with a tune and way more low end torque. But the sound and looks with the stock mufflers still didn't cut if for me. I tried the B&B Rte 66, but there was too much drone for me.

So I bolted on a set of these NPP on my 07. NO DRONE at cruise and serious muscle sounds under load. Plus, the quad " tips really look good.

I'd say save your money & get an after market exhaust. Why? You'll save money, plus, almost all of them have better looking tips. 2 grand for 6 hp ?? I think with a good Borla, Corsa, Magnaflow, Bassini, B&B,GHL or whatever, for the same loot you'd pick up a nicer all over sound & maybe an extra horsie too.

I have no experience with the 08 C6, but my 07 Z06 drones too much with the butterflies open and the windows up. Also, the sound is louder, but not deeper like a good aftermarket exhaust. If you go aftermarket, buy it for the sound, because the HP gain is minimal.

Does the 08 NPP exhaust bolt right up to the 2007?
