Default C6 Z06 Mod Help

I've got a 2008 C6 Z06 and right now I have the Halltech Killer Bee intake and tune package. Ofcourse you know how modding goes once you start your itching for more or atleast a complete stage 1 setup. My goal is to get the complete MTI Racing Stage 1 package, but I can't get it all at once as I'm setting aside money just for mods. So I'll do it in steps. Current Mod money is $1,800 dollars

I was going to get the B&B Bullets first because I wanted better sound, but having more power from headers or ported intake would be nice too.

My Goal is 500 RWHP

Here's my MTI Stage 1 to do/get list:

1. Ported intake/TB (10-15rwhp)~$1,000?
2. Headers w/ high flow cats(?Gain on Z06?)~$2,100
3. B&B Bullet Exhaust(5-10 rwhp)~$1,100
4. X-pipe (1-2rwhp)~$350
5. 160 t-stat~$40

-re-tune(I get 2 free re-tunes from Jim at Halltech via e-mail) Ofcourse at the end of all the mods when i complete the package I should go for a dyno tune at MTI Racing, which is where I'm having all my stuff installed.

Warranty isn't a big issue as I've already spoken to MTI Racing and they work and have a reputation with several Mod friendly dealers in the area that don't have any issues doing warranty work on any of MTI's stage 1 packages.

my thoughts:

quality motorsports ported intake/TB on exchange:

$279 (do the swap yourself, it's very easy)

keep factory exhaust

you already have KB intake

figure in tune $$$

that will get you very close to 500rwhp/460rwtq for $279 plus tune and your warranty is not really in jeopardy and swap back to stock is easy

PM myhardtop for specifics

BTW - add the vette air ($125)!!!

Yes, but that would require me to remove my own intake manifold and TB and send it off leaving my car non-functional. I'd rather have MTI Racing do it because they are experts and can vouch for their work if I need to go in for any type of warranty work. They would also do it that day rather than waiting. I don't feel so comfortable working on my engine.

I don't like the idea of cutting my shroud for the vette air on the Z06 since the Z already has a cold air intake built in the front NACA duct.

Just trying to decide if I want to do the porting TB/intake first or exhaust.
