Default WARNING! Performance Addiction

I've owned a completely stock C6 for about 2 years, and have loved the performance of the car. But after reading this forum the last few months, I decided to do some moderate mods to the car. I had a Callaway Honker installed, 180 thermostat, a tune, Z51 sway bars, brake flush with Motul 600 brake fluid, and Z06 brake pads. All for less than $2000.

I can't believe how much better the car rides. Throttle response is much better, and the car is running a lot cooler. Unfortunately, now I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to do this! And I'm wondering what I am missing by not yet putting in long tube headers, or an x pipe, or 4.10 gears, or maybe a cam, and of course I could go supercharger.

Oh my god! What have I done? I'm a mod junkie! How am I going to afford this!

If you are driving a C6 and haven't modded it yet, beware.

This is the same reason I refuse to try golf. No mods and no golf=more money for other stuff.

Must...resist...modding...

You have just entered the inescapeable bottomless spiral of the never ending quest for "just a little more" performance.
Don't worry brother, you're not alone. We're here for you.

There is a cure... more MODS! Welcome to the club. I haven't even taken delivery of my LS3 and I already have started ordering parts.

Good Luck,

I also recommend a set of Koni FSD shocks and some Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires.

There is no turning back. I started with a CAI and tune. I have since added headers, borla exhaust, ported intake, ported TB, ported heads and a fairly nasty cam. All this, and my car has less than 2,000 miles on it.

Vararam, LG Long tubes with cats, Magnaflow axle-back, shifter, tune, all before the dealer tags were off.

And I have a race car....

Thanks for all the support. I'm guessing looking for the CF chapter of Modders Annonymous isn't an option.

I was trying to figure out how to pay for more mods (now I really want 4.10 gears) without letting any charges show up on the charge card or out of the checking account. Wife keeps an eagle eye on those. I was thinking taking cash out of savings and she'll never see it. That's when I realized I had a problem.

JD,
It's definately an addiction!! I have started on my new '07 and...... have no intention of stopping till I reach about 520RWHP. Have complete headers/exhaust/tune and I HOPE I can get to that 520 with major engine, rear gear mods next summer and not have to go the Supercharger route. Not that i'd mind that but want to see how far I can get without it. Enough on my stuff! Have FUN and be safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
