We don't have to use the Cartek TM any longer since there are many more tables accessible than we had when the first versions of tuning software were introduced for the C6. With the latest versions of the software that are available we can just tune the TM out.

I understand it may well depend on the car, mods, and driver, but with TM gone am I just going to love my car more...or are things going to start breaking and flying off???

Nah, as long as you're careful and can read what the car is doing at any given moment then you'll be fine.
Even in bone stock trim with TM in full swing you can still break parts through bad wheel hop and various other abrupt pedal movements, a good driver can always find that balance.

Thanks.
With the number of reliable 460-480rwhp cars out there with gears and TQ management deleted it should be self explanatory. At 100 more HP than that you will be just fine too.

Wheel hop is the killer of all drive lines. That can, and does happen with TQ management on.
If the car is a Z51 2007-2008 model, the axle shafts are the stouter part #15891870 version, same one as those years' Z06. There have been no CF-reported failures of this axle shaft. And I put one through a intentional wheel hop torture-test at Atco and caught it on video.
The pre-2007 Z06, Z51 and all non-Z51 have the less-stout axle shafts that are more likely to break if subjected to wheel hop.
The C5 shafts fit fine, solved my problem, and dont have the thinner section like the current best Z06 revision. They also benefit from years of proven performance with 700+rwhp from strokers and N2O shots. Forego all of the current C6/Z06 axles.

That may be good advice for C5s, but C6s can use the 2007-present shaft for Z51 and Z06. No breakage of that one has been reported.
