I just ordered my 2008 with Z51 suspension. My last few vehicles have had Bilstein shocks, and I loved them. Is there anyone here that went from stock Z51 shocks to Bilsteins, and can comment on how it changed their car?
Thanks in advance.
I changed the stock Z51 shocks to Bilstein Sport shocks. I ride is just as good, the handling is better and the rear plants on the street better. Haven't gotten any wheel hop since then either.
My wheel hop left too for a while but returned when the weather got hotter. It is much improved all around performance. They were too hard a ride until they broke in. I also used the sports.
Z51 + Bilstein here and agree with everything said above. As usual, the Bilsteins deliver a more supple ride, better bump absorption, and better control all at once. The Z51 shocks are better than the "pre-nurburgring" Sachs, but that is not saying much.

Do it....I have 530 HP at the tire and no more wheel hop and handles much better.....cant tell the diference in ride once they break in
