Do You Need Thread Sealer On Studs with New Head Install?
Hi,
I am installing AFR heads on my 1998 mn6 and using ARP studs. Not sure if the studs need thread sealer if they protude into a water jacket or lubricant if they go into a blind hole? (as per instructions) All the holes seem blind to me and water jackets everywhere! Can I get some advice?

None of the studs protrude into the water jackets. I used assembly lube on mine when installing. Also, you probably already know but they changed the head bolt design in 04, they now are all one length. I know this because I was sent the old style ARP bolts/studs twice
