On our '08 LS3 the A/C condensation drips right down on the exhaust pipe. Makes a heck of a racket when you park. Sounds like someone frying bacon under there.
Does anyone know if there is supposed to be a tube connected to the A/C to direct the water away from the exhaust pipe. I know most cars have a tube so the condensation drips on the ground without hitting anything else.
I don't know about the '08s yet, but earlier Vettes had a rubber tube. This often became plugged and caused problems. You can probably jury-rig a "diverter", if you can get under the car and take a look. Good luck; let us know if you get it fixed.

I'm relieved that others are experiencing this also, was afraid it was only my '08. Loud sizzling, splattering sound when I park it in my garage. First checked to make sure it was only clear liquid and not a lubricant.
Thats funny I was thinking the exact same thing.
My concern was over time would the constant dripping cause corrosion?
Oh darn I would have to replace it with stainless steel headers.
Had my 08 Z06 for all of a week and a half with most days over 90 degrees and 90% humidity. AC drips right on the exhaust like crazy. I tell myself this car is so hot it sizzles.....literally!
mmotch
I called customer service at the Bowling Green plant - not really believing they would be any help to one little customer with one little question.
Lynn, who answered the phone (no voice mail heck) said she would check with an engineer and call me back within an hour. I thought - yeah right - this is way too easy.
Sure enough within an hour she called back. The engineer said there is no tube. The car is built correctly but they have had other calls with questions / complaints on the same issue and they were talking about possibly doing a fix. If they designed a fix, they would let the dealers know but not contact customers directly. I'm going to check with my dealer in a few months to see if anything has come down from GM.
It was easy to get through, Lynn was very friendly, got my question answered and called back when she said she would - all rare occurances in today's business world. I'm impressed. Kudos to GM on this one.
I never thought I would find people complaining about the same thing that has been driving me crazy. You have all proven once again, this is the family I belong with. Kudos to all
Never noticed this on my 07. Haha, we've found something that is better on our LS2's then the LS3's
Not so fast there. It's designed to eliminate condensate from ending up on the streets and parking areas as part of GM's commitment to safety and the environment.
