Default Cruise Control Question

Cruise control stopped working this weekend at 1400 miles. Just reviewed previous posts and will:
1. check fuse
2. recheck that "on" position is selected
3. check that brake pedal is fully up

If above are not the problem, I saw that someone solved the problem by disconnecting ground cable to battery.

If I have to disconnect the battery I assume I will have to reset all selections in DIC and reindex windows???

Also, another question, if none of this works and I have to bring it to a dealer: do they have to road test it or can they just hook it up to a machine and diagnosis the problem?

If it is a manual transmission make sure that the clutch pedal is also at the top.

I doubt that the new Corvette is like this but on my older (97,00,01,02) GMC trucks there are some codes that prevent the cruise from working. They did not light the MIL, only disabled the cruise. I can't remember what the problems were but it was totally unrelated to the cruise control. If I remember right this was mainly on the 97 truck.

Mine started working the day before I was going to take it to the dealer to get it fixed and hasn't acted up again yet. To answer your question, there are no codes to check for.
