Default Head Comparison Trickflow vs Advanced Dyno 243s

Rich @ Fairfield and Advanced Dyno have teamed up to run some testing on a new Head program that we have had in the works.

Rich has run 3 sets of heads on his car and we pulled the head that we have felt made the best performance and put them into a test with My car.

We ran 3 sets of heads on my car as well

The first head is the Lingenfelter 243 which netted 486 rwp.

The Second Set are Trickflow 225 @ 12.0:1 Compression whick netted 501 rwp

The third set is Our custom GM Performance 243 head whick netted 504rwp.

I am posting the results between the Trickflow heads and the GmPerformance heads that we have been working on.

Trickflow 225 run is in Blue
Our 243 is in Red

As you can see the 243 Heads that we have been puting together are putting down some very respectable numbers. We have a package here that makes 504 RWP with a 243 Casting head on a stock bottom LS2

Great results!

What cam and what's the price?

Are you comfortable running that lean all the time on the street/drag strip/road course? This is a genuine question, not a smart a$$ question as I've read conflicting reports and am interested in your thoughts.

As I've stated a few times before, a properly ported set of 243 (LS6/LS2) cylinder heads is still tough to beat and this is against the TFSs which are awesome in their own right.
Proper cam choice is always critical as well of course.

How does a stock L92 head fit in with these heads? Worse? Better? Have you tried a ported L92?

Interested to know too - however, L92's big valves reportedly won't fit a cam bigger than 224 without cutting the pistons. Spinmonster has a set if you care to ask him his opinion on them.

p.s. best mod I ever bought for any vette was your column lock bypass. Can you make one for the 05's?

Wow those are some awesome numbers out of a set of 243 casting. You don't by chance have any of the lower RPM numbers do you? Only reason I'm asking is that I've heard that aftermarket heads like AFR, TFS, etc. do better at lower rpms due to supposedly better velocity, etc. and was just wondering if it's true or now. Thanks

I was just getting ready to buy a new set of heads, so how much?

Do you sell them with the cam, and how long will it take you to get me out a set. I have my CC in hand, would like to order something tommorow if price is right
