Default Can't get my Bullets on.

Got home from Bowling green friday night. Saturday morning at 800am got the car up in the air got everything unbolted and could not get the mufflers unattached from the center pipe. tried and tried but it would not budge, tried hitting it a few times with a maller but I could not get the two sections to slide appart. Bolted everything back on because I wanted to drive it around for friends and family. Will try again this week, any boady have any suggestions on how to get the slip joint appart, I could get it if I cut the stock muffler but I want to keep it just in case. Any help would be great, maybe wd-40 between the two pipes?

try heating the outside pipe with a soldering torch. just watch for fuel lines/ anything combustible. Once it's nice and hot try giving the pipes a twist side to side and it should come apart.

no need to heat it. just drop the h-pipe and the hangar bracket, the middle one.

I unbolted the section that goes up to the front as well (near the stock cats) - then twisted that and it all came apart easily.

did that. unbolted the h-pipe and dropped it to the ground twisted pulled and everything else would not come apart, everything was unbolted from the flanges up by the down tubes. Would not budge Guess I will try it again. Just cant get much leverage laying on your back on the garage floor

I had the same problem. I laid on my back legs pointed toward the engine put my feet on the flanges on the front of the H pipe and pushed. Took a few minutes but it did let go.

I took a hammer (not a mallet) and just started slamming the stock pipe where it starts to bend up towards the back. Took alot of power. Don't feel like you are going to hurt it. I had no dents. Hope it helps
