I have a Halltech Stinger and the rubber part is straight and not ribbed like the stock intake. I am installing a Vararam. If I continued to use the Hallteck part and not the GM ribbed part would I achieve the same thing as a TBS - that being non-turbulent airflow?
Reason I am asking is I have read too many reports that the TBS is really hard to fit and it pushes the Vararam too far forward or even up in to the hood. Something I don't want.
mine looks fine, its only slightly raised, but nothing crazy, plenty of hood clearance. Plus i dont know how a non ribbed will work, because it took some force bending the thing in place to set everything straight, and because it allows you to compress it made it a little easier. I wouldnt worry about changing out the stock air bridge, seems to work fine with a vararam and a TB spacer, just like advertised.
What results, if any, could I expect from installing a throttle body spacer on a stock LS2? Presently, I'm still using the stock air filter boxes. Will the spacer be a problem in regards to the air box, since I’m assuming that it will cause the box to move forward?
I am considering the spacer advertised at Ecklers. http://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?p...9-_-C6-_-51033
Thanks……..
