UPDATE: Trans leak/problem
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1763547
After original work listed on the above thread the car developed a leak that was fixed by replacing a faulty seal on the coolant line to trans. I drove the car home and next day still leaked. Had headers, etc., tune done and told dealer I would bring it back after that work was done. They agreed as it was not a catasrophic leak.
Brought car back in today and it's ANOTHER problem!
The left rear transaxle seal is leaking. Like I said before not REAL bad but bad enough. I am remaining (once again) calm. Mike at the dealer said it should not be a big thing to fix correctly. Will post results ONCE AGAIN when I get it back. I hope this is the last of it in any event. Let me know if I've been led down the path or is this on the straight and narrow? Any thoughts will help.
Sorry for the long thread.
Fran
Got the car back with new transaxle seal and whadaya know, NO leak!!! Hope not to have to post on this issue again.
Oh, of course they got grease on the center console rug. I'm fed up, bringing it to my body shop/detailer, he'll get it back good as new.

Thanks, I hear ya! Have been seeing alot of this trans stuff lately on the forum. It is kind of scary though that we pay this kind of money ( I honestly believe it's still a great deal) and have these issues. Deep down I still love my ride as much as I loved my '86 and my '02 and maybe more as I'm now faithfully into my wanting 500+ RWHP.
Like you, 007 I'm hoping that it's over as well. Then it's on to all of those MODS!!!!!!!
Take care and good luck on your "Mod Quest"Fran
