I'm pretty sure I read someone who installed them say his car was 1/4 to 1/2 inch shorter. Suggestion was made to heighten the ride at each corner, if they wished.
I also noticed a drop after installing FSD's. Hitting the front air dam more often now, so I will raise the car 1/2" all around. Adding lower profile tires at the same time made the problem worse.
My car dropped about half an inch with the FSD install. Since I had never touched it before, the ride height is good for me (but the front air dam does hit more than it used to).
Koni FSD's with Z51 sway bars and Michelin PS2 tires have got the car to where I want in terms of ride and handling. Although I might be able to handle a little bigger rear sway bar with the grip available from the PS2 tires.
