Default This is odd...Driver door window

As of yesterday, my '07 Coupe driver door window stopped indexing up...when inside the car and you open the door it indexes down with no problem, but when you close the door, it does not go back up unless I use the power window button. Checked the passenger side and it works fine.

When you close this driver door from the outside, the window does not index up either...this leaves a 'crack' along the top of the window and it is not secure or weather tight.

Whats up with this?

Anybody experience this before? I am missing something here?

Get in car push button to have window go all the way up, hold it for 10 seconds then repeat. That should reindex your window

PS this is in the owners manual

6spdC6...Thanks!

Worked perfectly...never thought something like this would be in the owners manual...curious as to why this window stopped working in the first place...seems odd!

Anyhow...all better now!

Reindexing the window is in the owner's manual, but it's a little different than what you posted. As long as it works, I guess it's okay, but if it doesn't work one day, you might have to start doing it the way it's listed in the manual.

2007 owner's manual, page 87.

Power Window Initialize
After a power reconnect such as battery
replacement, the window index-up feature will not
function until the system is initialized. Once
power is restored, do the following:
1. Close the door.
2. Raise the window by pulling up the switch.
3. Hold the up switch for three seconds after the
window is closed. Release the switch.
4. Hold the up switch again for three seconds
and release
.

Everytime the battery gets removed or with certain things on when the car is turned off then back on will trip the window set.

The two 3 sec holds seems to eliminate the later of the two.
