If I decide to keep my current C6 for a while, I may decide to supercharge (various models I know).

My question is an old one I'm sure, but simply, is there anything else needed or "a must" for the stock LS2, other than the s/c? And is there one that stands out more than the rest, as far as performance and reliability?

I added a Vortech Supercharger to my complete stock C6 A6 and is very happy with the power. Picked up 126rwhp at 6psi boost which is very safe.

You do need to change the spark plugs and that would be it.

The only thing you have to watch out for is that the tires will break loose very easily, very scary at 40mph.

Thanks. Sounds good. I guess you investigated the different brands, if you spent the $$ in the first place.

At what point of supercharging do you not have to do any further engine , etc. mods (which I would really do not want to do)? Or maybe another way of putting it is, if you'd rather not do certain other mods, supercharging would not be cost/performance effective. Am I right?

Just getting my feet wet with this possiblity.

I believe I heard the LS2 can safely handle 500 RWHP.What I'd concern myself w/also is the rear end.I plan on S/C'ing myself at some point and I'll be looking at beefing up the rear of my 05.

Even though everyone is proud of theirs and rightfully so, is there a top dog of superchargers for the money or just the top no matter what the cost? And, are all of them "all enclusive" (or a package) so to speak with all that you need to get it done?

S/C is a great way to go. But in order to take full advantage you need a CAI and LT Headers at a minimum.

Suggest you post this on the C6 Forced forum.

Thanks John. Just starting to investigate. I do have a Vararam/spacer and Borla but hadn't gone the header route.
