best cam
What is the best cam for my C6 with corsa sports, kooks long tube headers and vararam intake? By "best cam" i mean most power gain, but then again i dont really know much about cams so if someone could fill me in on the things to look at when buying a cam that would be great. thanks.

Do a search and some research because cam selection is like plastic surgery, only you can decide what you want. There is no "best cam" there are a lot of great cams for what you want to do though. I've been doing research myself lately, and I only thought I knew about cams until I started researching all the choices we have for LS engines.

Some items to consider are:
- Do you have emissions testing in your home state, with a tailpipe sniffer?
- Do you want to retain the stock idle speed, or is it OK to raise it by 100-200 RPMs?
- Do you want a "lopey" idle, makes it apparent to everyone that you have a cam?
- Is smooth street operation and good gas mileage important to you?
- Are you also planning to use aftermarket heads, or gears?
- How often do you plan to race the car?
