Kooks xpipe and mid pipe advice
I receive only part of my Kooks header system today, the cats/xpipe and the extender/mid pipes that couple to the xpipe and mufflers. First thing I noticed out of the box is the xpipe does not slide on the mid pipe at all. I can only assume if I get out a rubber mallet and bang the heck out if it then it might go together, maybe. My coated headers are due here in about a week and then the fun will begin.
Any suggestions on how to easily mate the xpipe and mid pipe? I thought about propane torch on the outer pipe prior to the rubber mallet. Or possibly some lubricant on the pipe so they might slide more easily. My corsas and corsa xpipe slid together very easily. No sliding on for these Kooks.

you will most likely end up cutting-n-welding.
kooks has a x-pipe/mid section with integrated high-flow cats that will connect quite nicely.
it's a real crapshoot getting a smooth connection from one vendors headers to another vendors mid/x-pipe.
