I bought a SIR GM-1 used from someone here, to convert the vert, but the adapter is not the right one. Has anyone got, or know where I can get the correct wiring adapter?

well I do not know which unit you guys have, but I have the SIR-1 and the XM connector is nothing at all like the one shown in the picture, and in my car. Not even close.
Oh Mike- you didnt need to do that, I am sure I will find the adapter. That was by far the nicest thing anyone has EVER done for me online, after a transaction was completed.
There is no chance of tossing it, if I can not get it to work, I will pay it forward and give it to someone that can use it, if that is ok with you?

It's sirius, but the xm is 16 pin, the sirius 10. Not even close.
The Sirius Mike sent me 10 pins
The XM 16 pin
The adapter that came with it, nothing close.

I have the same module sitting in my closet awaiting delivery of my 08 convertible. The module actually comes with two different wiring harnesses. One for cars that came pre-wired for XM, and another for cars that didn't. Do you happen to know if your car came prewired? If your car did NOT come prewired, I may be able to send you the other harness that came with the module.

Can you take a pic of the conection marked head unit on yout SIR-1 and past it? My car has XM factory installed, (nav) but I only have one adapter, and it is not correct. I need a 10-16 pin adapter as shown above.
If your car is factory equipped for XM, we actually need the same harness. I would have been happy to send you the other harness, but then I'd be in the same boat as you are now. :-(

Sorry I couldn't help.
No troubles Sir.I truly appreciate the offer.
I will make it work, or I wont and will buy another one.
The harness that comes with it is not used. Mine (the extra harness they give you) is sitting right behind me as I type. What is on the unit itself plugs directly into the factory connector. Again, you don't use the harness. That comes with the kit for those who actually need it for one reason or another.

Did you look at the pictures? There is no way to plug it in without some kind of adapter.
Take another look, I think that the one I got may be different that the one used for vettes. OR, I need an adapter. There is no mystery here, it just has to happen.
Damn, now you made me actually go out there and look. Austinvettes is correct. There is another small harness that goes between the Sirius unit and the XM connector. It is only about 6-8 inches long or so and only has two ends on it vs the pic you have of the other harness which has a whole bunch of stuff on it.
That is what you are missing is in fact the short adaptor harness. You may be able to call Sirius and get one or check some other car forums (as in classic cars where it wasn't pre-wired) where people had to use the harness you are showing in your pic. They would have the other laying around.

I thought for a very short time that either I was doing something wrong, or that I had lost my mind, I even it apart twice to be sure.
Thanks for the verification. Now, if anyone has one laying around.....

Can I get you to do something for me? Can you take a couple pics of the plugs/wiring? If I can get that, I will cut the end off my factory harness, and rewire on the one I need. It only uses 7 wires, so it should be very straight forward.......
I can't really do it without tearing it apart. I don't just have mine sitting in place, I actually bolted it in place and honestly, after going through the nightmare of my widebody conversion this past week, I can't say I am honestly wanting to work on the vette for a while.
The pinouts would likely need to be tested for confirmation anyways.
What I would do is go to the C5 section and post looking for someone that added Sirius. Since theirs weren't pre-wired, they would have had to use the harness you have pictured thus they would have the other.
