Default Clutch replacement questions

Do you actually need to remove the intake manifold to replace the clutch? Something about needing to tilt the motor down at the back which is impossible until you pull the intake.

About how much should it cost for a new stock clutch/flywheel job including materials & labor?

Zip Corvettes did mine before I bought it. The stock LS7 clutch is pretty much garbage. I would recommend an RPS triple disc carbon fiber clutch. It will run you about 4k tho, but it is made to withstand 1200 horsepower.

no you dont need to remove the intake manifold to do a clutch.
but what ever clutch you decide on. don't use a spec, unless you dont want your legs, and or car to burn to the ground.

I have had mcloud, luk gold series units in my C5 and a Texterala in my C6 with a stroked L92 427 making 525rwhp/500rwtq. Hated the clutch, chattered all the time. Actually hated all the aftermarket clutches I've used. Swaped out the Texterala unit for an LS7 unit balanced. Have had no issues to date with the power I'm making. Also this is a street car, it will never see the track. It's a daily driver traffic etc. The tires go up in smoke in 1st or 2nd gear. This is why the clutch will last. It will never hook up so I'm never going to load the LS7 clutch to the point of breakage. So if you're not going to put DR's on it and go to the drags, don't worry about the stock unit. I'm not. 12,000 miles and still going.
