I put in two bottles of water water when I changed my stat to a 160*. Of course my temps dropped but I think it was mostly from the stat and fan reprogram rather then the water wetter.
It does work, but only on water, not coolant. So, running it with 50/50 coolant you won't see as much effect. I switched to 25% coolant 75% water and one bottle of water wetter when I put in my 160 thermostat.
Here in the San Francisco area where we don't really go below freezing plus I always garage my car, would be OK to go either 50/50 water and waterwetter, or 25 coolent and 75 waterwetter?
I just want to drop my water temp in my superchargerd A6.

This comes up periodically, For the street, follow the factory recommendation. The water pump lubricants and corrosion inhibitors will preserve your investment. If you want lower temps, put in a 160 thermostat.
Water wetter is mostly a soap solution, It delays the onset of nucleate boiling around the upper cylinder at full throttle. Use as recommended on the race track to keep from spilling slick coolant on the track. Otherwise it is a waste of money. (I know it is your money and I agree)
The smaller concentration of anti-freeze, the more efficient water wetter will be. Works best with distilled water only. If you're running a 50/50 mix, save your $$$$.
