Default "Cooler" air?

I wanted to get some cooler air to my Halltech Stinger. I never did undersatand the cool air mod, so I got out my drill. (it's the same on the other side) It looks fugly, but you can't really see the holes unless you're looking for them. I swear I could feel it pull harder at WOT on the freeway, but it may have been the placebo effect. Oh well, flame suit on.

Cooler air helps. You can also cut out the entire opening, about 2" x 3", to let more air in.

There is no question that cooler air helps, but this mod also lets in a lot of dirt. Be prepared to do a little extra engine compartment cleaning.

There were some threads in the past about "free cold air". Do a search.

Basically, you pull the 2 plastics pins holding the bottom of the shroud. Then you can pull back/down the shroud and prop it open creating your own ram air. I used wooden dows. I cut them about 5 inches long and proped open the shroud using the same holes where the plastic pins were located.

Works great! You can not see it either unless you are on your knees looking through the front grill.

Get the Vette-Air since you already have a Halltech intake. It is much cleaner than what you have done. I have the Vette-Air/Halltech Venom combo.
