Default FAST 90 Install, instructions

Does anyone have any instructions for the firewall mod on the FAST 90 intake? I know Spin did an awesome write-up on modding the fast, but unfortunately I don't have time as my dyno appointment is next week and i already have the firewall mod kit, just no instructions. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You will basically be cutting the area where the wiper arm sits. The firewall kit that came with mine did not have instructions either. They kit did come with an aluminum block which fits into the area that you cut away for support of the wiper arm assembly. From that point you will have to cut the material around in to match the firewall cutout piece however leaving enough for the pop rivets.

Try a search under my name, I had pictures posted a few months back and hopefully they are still hosted that should help you out some, if you find them there is some other good information that I learned from other members on the forum.

Good luck with it.

Thanks, I did find the thread and it was helpful, unfortunately none of the pictures show up anymore. Hopefully someone saved some of them?? ... Either way, I guess I'll be figuring this out in the morning. Thanks!

It takes far less time to mod the manifold than to cut the firewall.

There is a template that comes with the firewall mod kit and it goes on the forewall and you cut around it. DO the cut and put the manifold on, dyno, then after that, remove the manifold and clean up the firewall kit peice. I hated the amount of time it took to use that kit. I refuesed to ever use it again.

Thanks Spin... shoot now you have me thinking, maybe I should run around town and see if I can pick up the necessary pieces to just mod the Fast... I better go back and read your thread again. Thanks for the advice either way, worse comes to worse I'll just make the cut so the thing fits on the car and come back later to fix it.
