Default Service active handling system message

2006 A6 Z51 vert. Service active handling system message came up while driving yesterday. It went away when I shut the car off and restarted. Dealer said to ignore it unless it comes up again. Should I believe him?

Mined did it twice is a day and nothing since. I would not worry about it until it comes on all the time.

I had it come on twice in 6600 miles. I'd only really worry if it stays on.

Not only the connector but at the base of the steering shaft there is a rheostat that tells the system where the wheels are. Mine was going out and that was the cause. A simple 1 hour visit to the dealer took care of that and the connector. There were multiple codes thrown because of that. I would just get it corrected and be done with it cause it will come back again.
