Default Texas Mile

Is anything other than a drivers license required to participate in this? Is there a similar event in the Southeast? I'm in Florida and Texas is a wee bit far.

Thanks

You have to fill out a entry form and medical release. It might be too late now, but you can always try.

If you're going to go all the way to TX to drive fast, I'd recommend the Big Bend Open Road Race or the Road Runner Open Road Race.

A C6 Vette will tech to 168MPH with only the addition of a harness bar and belts.

You can drive 60 miles each direction at the BBORR at speeds up to 168MPH, straights, curves, the whole deal.

Just a thought- seems like a bit more of a challenge versus hammering it in a straight line for a mile.

You'll meet a lot of Vette owners at these events- I'd say about 50% of the field are Vette people. I'm headed down to the Road Runner race tomorrow.

Either way, have fun!

I second that motion. I have participated in the BBORR and the Texas Mile. The Texas Mile is a lot of fun, but does not even compare to the fun in the BBORR.

Got back from the RRORR last evening. The Vette contingent was well represented.

150 class- 2 of top 3 were vettes.
Pretty much the same percentage of podiums for most speed classes.

Great event. Looking forward to April's Big Bend Event. It'll be my first run as a Vette driver.

Any video of the event?
