I am getting gears. Even though 2 places, Dealer and 1 shop says can't get them! I am going with 3.73 or 3.90.
Where to get them?

Im trying to decide on 3:90 or 4:11. The one concern I have is
first gear may run out too fast without picking up much MPH.
I read this on other threads and it has me thinking. LS2 + VR
and L G'S.
I know chuck cow has complete assemblies and i would most likely go there.

Seriously though.... Don't think too hard about it....The forum will drive you crazy!

Don't decide untill you come to my shop and go for a ride in a car that has the gears...

There's no substitute for first hand experience when making a decision like this.....

I can talk and argue my point till I'm blue in the face....and the more I try to convince you to do what's right....the more scared and afraid you get....... Don't listen to me, the forum, or anyone else....

Come to my shop and I'll arrange to have a local car with the gears I'm proposing here for you to test ride in......

Then you can decide for yourself what suits you...

DTE seems a popular choice. I had 4.10s installed at CARTEK and am very pleased. I have not heard of any DTE complaints

If you give me a call I can e-mail you a spreadsheet that will give you a complete rundown of RPM in each gear with the different ratios. From idle to 10,000 rpm with whatever tire size that you have. Its quite handy to see the difference that they make.

Here's my favorite gear calculator. Pan down to your car and trans type, plug in our rpm limiter, gear ratio, and tire diameter, and hit calc.
