Default Kooks Headers, Cats and X-Pipe with Stock Exhaust.

I just had Kooks headers, cats and x-pipe installed on my 06 along with a dyno tune. My only other engine mods are the Vette-Air system and a Halltech Venom intake. I decided to try the headers with the stock exhaust first to see how it would sound.

I have to say I am impressed with the drivability of the car as well as the sound. It is only slightly louder at idle and at cruise, but it has a very nice sound to it when you get on it and when you downshift. At this point I think I am going to stay with the stock exhaust. I like the stealthy look to the extent you can be stealthy in a red Corvette.

I have the same set up on mine and I love the way it sounds. I have been toying with the concept of a new axle back system but I just don't know. Also, the HPR increase is nice too.

Just Saturday night, I showed the back end of my Vette to some guy in a GT500. He did not get a great view though because he just couldn't get close enough to see the fine detailing job I did earlier in the day. He also did not get close enough to tell me how it sounded pulling away but I gotta think it sounded pretty sweet...........
