How long to swap swaybars on these cars?
I have a set of Z06 swaybars coming, but I will only be putting the front bar on until I get some wider tires for the rear.
How long should I be looking to spend for an install. On my fbody it was easily done in 30-45 minutes...similar?

The back is a piece of cake; 1/2 hour tops. I haven't done the front but it looks a bit more complicated due to all the things wrapped around each other up there and generally tight working space. Probably depends on how far you can get the car off the ground, I'd think it would be pretty quick on a lift but might take a while on jackstands.

With air tools, it'll take longer to get it on four jack stands than it does to change the bars. I've swapped mine out so many times now, I just lift the front or back with my long reach, low profile Omega jack and leave the other side down while I work. From the time I pull it into the garage, I can swap both bars now in less than an hour.

I was puzzled about how to remove the links with the small ball joints the ends of the sway bar. Then I realized that you can use a 18mm open end wrench to hold the back of the balljoints while you unscrew the nut. This will save a lot of time. There is an accordian like rubber cover on the back of the link. Move this out of the way and you will see that the ball joints have a flat section on the back that an 18mm open end wrench fits. Hope this helps.
