Default Do I need larger injectors?

So I'm shooting for upper 400's rwhp with my new setup, stock bottom end ls2, TFS 225 heads, Fast 90, g5x3 cam, LG headers, underdrive pulley, etc. etc. My question is, will I be maxing out the stock injectors? I am hoping for ~470rwhp given my mods. Appreciate any input as I'm trying to get everything tied up for my dyno tune on Friday. Thanks!

Most guys will tell you that the stock injectors will support 500 horse. What I've never seen posted is how hard that works the stock injectors. If the duty cycle is running well up into the 90% range, it seems like you could have trouble find you...

The tune should spell out the duty cycle of the stockers. If it were me, I'd wait for those results and then decide.

I believe Z-06 injectors are 40#, and I've seen them in the C-6 parts for pretty reasonable.

I think it would be a good idea. I am happy with the Ford 42# with the pigtails with well over 500hp.

Thanks guys, I think I'm too close to the tune date to get anything going anyway so I guess I'll see how maxed the stock injectors get. I have HP Tuners so I can always add the larger injectors later and tweak my tune. My ultimate goal is to get the magic 500 number but I know I still need to professionally port the Fast, get an electric water pump and a few other minor goodies.

Check out Marren. Custom flowed and balanced for reasonable costs.

Pretty sure, at your power level, the stock injectors are overworked and subject to early failure. Good luck.

I think my buddy GTOdoug is pretty well versed in this. I'll pm him to chime in.

Ok, thanks Joe. I actually just contacted Lingenfelter this morning and they were awesome enough to hook me up with sime 47lb injectors which they felt would be great for this app and give me room to grow should I decide to go bigger cubes in the future. I was going to PM you soon and see if you could help me with which tables to tweak in HP Tuners for the new injectors, I don't need perfect, just need to be able to drive to the tuners shop (about an hour and a half away).
