Default Thanks to SpinMonster

I finally had the FAST installed today by Rick at Synergy Motorsports. Rick did a great job and I am very happy with the SOTP feel.

I want to thank SpinMonster for the recommendation of the FAST for my 06 A6. HE WAS RIGHT ABOUT THE FAST AND ALSO ABOUT THE 3.15 GEARS TOO. The combo is really what this car needed. Perfect! The car feels very strong.

Spin, you are da man!

The only complaint I have is that the Honker does not mesh well with the new position of the TB. The bellows are compressed as far as it will go but the Honker does not set flush any longer. IOW the rubber grommets are not seated on the pegs of the fan shroud. Minor stuff but it does trigger my OCD

I find I have to trim the various air cleaner assembly parts to fit without binding.

I was on my way to the gym to get better proportions and now my head is bigger than it needed to be....thanks for the kind words.

I hope you and your wife enjoy the car. Safe travels my friend.

Sounds great! While you were there, did you have Rick turn off Torque Management on your A6? I had Rick remove mine on Saturday as he now has the new version of HP Tuners. Made a big difference on the shift speed and firmness. You'll love it!

I dont think he did since the paddle shifts seems to still lag. But in D I stomped on it at 30mph and the back end broke loose. It never did that before.

Also I read about the "hollow sound" the FAST makes. This had me a bit worried but I have to say that the intake sound is great--very exotic IMHO.
