How many miles? How much wear? I have an '05 Z-51 as well with 10000 miles and some track days. I replaced the worn fronts but the backs had only 50 percent wear.

dusting is normal-major dusting at that.
I have 15k on my 05 z51 and the OEM breaks are fine.

In general this is not what I would call normal. Did you buy it new? If not, maybe the rear pads are not the OEM's?

Or do you drive it agessively especially around corners? If so it could be AH is maling lot's of corrections and causing this?

That's kind of the opposite of my experience. I also have an 05 with Z51. I normally see much more dust on the front wheels. So far I have had to replace the front pads and rotors, and my current set of rotors has developed slight warping. My rear brakes still have the original pads and rotors, and the pads still show lots of life left.

How are you driving the car, and does TC/AH kick in frequently?

I was just going to say the same thing about TC.... when I leave AH/TC on and get a little heavy with the right foot there is definitely a ton of break dust on the rear tires (along with rubber in the wheel wells).

Funny, i had the exact opposite. My fronts were really worn and minimal brake wear on the back. I bought my car used at 25k miles and have put 8k on it.

I switched to the GM performance ceramic pads last week and i will tell you they are not great. After numerous scares at the Sebring track day this past Sunday, I am replacing a few things. The brake fade on my 2005 C6 was horrible. After 5 laps the brakes were non-existant.

I will be putting braided steel brake lines in and a set of Hawk HPS Plus pads. An investment of around $400. I also switched to DOT4.

Active handling is amazing on the track. Felt like an F1 out of the corners (minus about 500hp) :~)

Dusting has always been a problem on my 06 Z51 on all four wheels. I just put up with it and wipe the wheels off daily.

How hard are you guys driving your car? My 06 Z51 has 6K miles albeit is not a daily driver and I do drive hard when I take it out but the dusting is very minimal which has surprised me compared to my wifes Mercedes Benz E500 which as soon as she takes it out the wheels are covered with dust.
