Default Kooks Header Installation on a 08' C6 a6?

Please help me with some advice from someone that knows.
After reading another post regarding potential 1 3/4 dia restriction on an 08 C6 I became concerned. (started a new thread not to highjack the other)
I recently purchased an set of Kooks LT headers for my 08 C6 from a VERY reputable dealer.
Do I need to be concerned that the Kooks headers I purchased are going to be restricting the exhaust flow because of the flange?
I obviosly want to get my moneys worth of performance.
These headers have been Jet Hot coated and I do not want to have the tuner modify them to flow properly.
The heads are stock and I have no plans to modify them in any way.

I am hoping they bolt up and after a dyno tune pick up 20 to 30 rwhp.
I have currently have a K&N and VetteAir installed and with a dyno tune getting 388rwhp and 375 torque.

Anybody have any first hand experience with Kooks on a 08 C6?
Was there any restriction?

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Bill

Hope this is somehow on point at some level. I read the same post and understood it to mean that there was no restriction - it just looked that way with the "naked" eye, but measuring with an instrument showed that there wasn't. I have followed threads on header size and from my "old school' perspective, I always thought that the larger primary tubes were best suited for H/C packages that would benefit from added flow and that realitvely stock (external mods) would do very well with the smaller primaries. So to my way of thinking, there is nothing wrong with the smaller tubes if you don't think you will ever do a H/C upgrade. If I recall correctly, tube size and collector length determine in part how and where the header produces torque and horsepower. So for a stock or relatively mild engine, the 1 3/4 primaries should do the trick. Then again, my knowledge of header science goes back a ways.

I also read the thread on restrictive headers. It looked like two vendors bashing each other with a lot of hype.
Jusy make sure your gasket doesn't restrict the port and the headers will work fine. If you are unhappy with the Kooks, put them up for sale here and they will be gone in a day (but you may have to lose a little on them).

Thanks guys.
The vendor I purchased them from was vert generous with his time in helping me make thr right decision for my particular application.
I am going to give him a call for a sanity check to make sure I have no issues.
Also The tuner I am using has a sterling reputatuion and has assured me that if there is a restriction he knows how to identify it and if it is minor he can correct it.

Remember, "just because you're paraniod doesn't mean they aren't out to get you"

Anyone out there actually installed a setb of Kooks on an LS3?

Finishing my install today, I'm measured and looked VERY close

there is nothing to worry about. There is over 30 thousands from the ID of the tube to the OD of the port. The hole restriction thing is just one company trying to make there product look better then others out there. Dont beleve the hype.I can post pics when I get to my office on monday.Hope everyone enjoys the rest of there weekend.

Thanks George R
