Default Which CAI/exhaust

I do not plan on doing any internal engine mods or for that matter any mods I can't replace with the OEM(leased car).

What CAI and exhaust mod should I consider.

I am not unhappy with the stock exhaust and may keep it if I cannot be comfortable the after market exhaust will not have a drone at cruise and be too loud at idle.

As for the CAI, if it will improve torque and is a better quality than stock I will probably do it.

Any other mods I should consider.

Thanks

I had the same questions. So far from what I have read, the Vararam and the Vortex Ram seem to be the most popular CAI's.

Not to mention you can get a pre-cut shroud to go with it.

I looked forever for my CAI. I ended up getting a HallTech Stinger. It works great and looks even better.

Headers= LG LT's or KOOKS LT's

My 2 cents

Well, if you are going to go CAI, then go with a true CAI. I have the Honker and I can tell you it works and is very well made. As far as aftermarket exhaust, I have Zoomers. I still love the looks and the sound but the slight drone in the 1500-1650 RPM range (60-65 mph) gets on my nerves. I would probably now go with Corsa Sports if I had to do it all over again.

I have had both the CORSA Touring and Sport models on my C5's. Stock sounding idle, no drone, even with headers! Corsa's are well known for this feature.

Get headers instead of a cat back which gives no performance gain.

VR for the air cleaner.
