It has only kicked in three times in the month that I've had the car. The profile is much less intrusive than in the C5's, and it happens so infrequently that I'm not even bothering to install a skip shift eliminator.

You might wait and see. I have over 1,800 miles and I've only seen it once. IMHO its no longer really an issue, nothing at all like the C5.
Just pull fuse #10 in under the hood. It only feeds the solinoid for engaging the 1-4 shift. Trust me, that's all it does. Most people who have pulled fuse #10 and had problems think that they pulled fuse #10 but actually pulled the wrong fuse. Here is a picture.
My Chevy mechanic advised me about this fix 2 years ago. I pulled mine then and no troubles in two years. Standing on the passenger side looking at the fuse panel, you are actually looking from top of my diagram down at the Fuse panel.

I believe this causes a light in my 07. Something was changed and pulling the fuse causes an SES light. The 2 things that will disable CAGS is getting a !CAGS plug and installing it OR having EFILive, HPTuners, Predator equivalent and "tune" it out.

No where as bad a a C5.
I had a 05 and now a 07 and it never gets me, other than the time I made it do it as a check. I had to put a CAG killer on my Camaro and 98 Vert, but its fine on the C6s IMHO.
Which is the easiest way to bypass the 1st to 4th feature? Which way DOESNT void the warranty, if any? I just got an 07 convertible and I hate the feature but I don't want to void the warranty.

Have a tuner modify the computer parameters to turn it off. It is physically completely invisible. While in the computer module, have them give the thing a tune. I have a hard time believing a dealer would bust your shoes about either defeating the 1-4 shift with either hardware or software mods ... that is assuming they would even detect it (I doubt they would even look for this mod). If you are completely freaked out about your warranty, don't do any mods and live with it.

Removing the #10 fuse disables the CAGS, but it caused a check engine light for me too. I tried this yesterday on my'08 and put the fuse back in today to get rid of the light.
Like some of the other guys say, you can drive around CAGS just by giving it more gas, or holding the gear, etc. It's only activated about 3 times in the month I've owned the car. However, it's usually at the most annoying time, like when I forget about it & get stuck behind some _real_ slow a**es and get bumped into 4th & then have no power. Then it's annoying.
