disable / remove TPMS ?
is there any confirmed way to remove the TPMS? e.g. scan tool? hptuners?
the factory TPMS is slow responding and produces a lot of errors on the track and the dragstrip, and is just way too slow responding
an aftermarket unit responds in real time with temperature info and pressure bias due to temperature, all in 0.5 sec updates
thanks for the time

ALL 4 wheeled vehicles less than 10,000 lbs must have a TPMS and sensors starting in September this year (all 2008 model year vehicles). It's federal law.
Part of the law is that the system must not be able to be deactivated. They want people to have messages and lights staring them in the face when they get low tire pressures. This is Big Brother's way to try and avoid the situation of several years ago when Phord Explorers were flipping over and killing soccer moms and their kids because nobody ever checked their tire pressure.
