Default Mass Air Flow

I just installed a Callaway Honker on my 06 C6. Now I am wondering if I should install a mass air flow sensor. Considering a Granatelli. Would I see the benefits or just another way to spend $400.00

Jim Hall has a unique option to convert the ls2 MAF to the new style ls3/ls7 MAF. Should add about 5hp considering how highly respected he is around here I dont doupt it one bit.

I have an over 500rwhp turbo car, and my MAF is turned off. Use the money for something useful.

That stock one is more than enough for whatever mods you will do.

Callaway engineers don't believe you will see any benefit.

First off,
Granatelli sells snake oil. He also has spark plug wires that give you 30 hp. YEA RIGHT!! The stock maf is just fine. My forged 427 used the stock maf im my LS2 and makes 525rwhp. Now you Asked the question if you should use your maf? Unless you have a speed density tune, you need your maf to make the car run properly. The only time you don't need the maf is when you have a speed density tune. That's the tune in my car. Still, I ran the maf because I needed the IAT sensor ( inlet air temp ) For fuel and timming issues. Now granted the maf is a big restriction (internal dia 31/4" and the air bar) but you need it. So what I did to remove it was the get an IAT stand alone sensor from a C5 1998-2000, and put it in the air bridge and wired it to the two brown wires in the harness going to the maf (IAT wires). So I removed the maf and have a 4 inch tube going from the air bridge to the TB. No restriction. Don't waste your money with Granatelli products.

9 out of every 10 Corvette owners don't recommend the Granatelli MAF, I'm that one who will recommend it after installing the Granatelli Maf on my 07 the throttle response is AMAZING my buddy has an 03 Z06 and he used to beat me buy 1 and half to 2 cars from 0 to 120 now i beat him buy a half a car from 0 to 120 the last five times we have raced.

BTW i only paid $269.00 shipped to my door for the MAF with cold air tuning PM me if you want the info they are not a CF Vendor i don't think.
