So my 05 vert is about a month old to me now. Time for a few mods. The first was my Valentine One . Second is the Corsa Extremes. My first recommendation would be to have a muffler place do them and save your own knuckles . Unfortunately, the guy that I have do my exhaust work took the weekend off, and I am a very impatient individual . So myself and a buddy of mine put them on. They say the passenger side oem muffler will come out with some rubber mallet beating. I still don't believe it. Maybe on a lift, but not using jack stands. We ended up hacksawing the pipe to the muffler and got it out. Once the OEM stuff was out it was a breeze to attach the Extremes. They sound incredible compared to the stock exhaust. The sound clips that they have of them do not do them justice. They are fairly quiet at idle and just cruising around. Mash the gas pedal and they come to life. I am extremely pleased with them . Not an impossible DIY project with a little help, but well worth the $100 to $150 it would have cost me to have it done. It was a decent excuse to get more tools though
I have them on my 06 Z51. They sound awesome!! I just bought my Kooks headers and x-pipe for next weekend project. I am told they will sound even better.
Put a set of Extremes on my 2005 MN6 about 3 weeks back. Love the sound. One of the nicest additions I have done to my ride!
Did myself using conventional ramps in front and Race Ramps XT under the rears after lifting with a jack. Provided more than enough room to get everything off with no hassle. Didn't have any issues getting the old system off, plenty of clearance to just lift them off.
Nice tutorial on Ecklers for anyone that wants to see the process!
Also added an Elite Engineering tunnel plate while I was under the Vette.

Maybe the 2006 A6 is easier then the 2005 but I removed my exhaust just using ramps and the help of my floor jack in the center of the car to remove the passenger side. NO cutting! Only had to raise the center high enough that the rear wheels still touched the ramps.
Removing and installing was the easy part. The aligning the tips to my satisfaction took hours. A couple of calls to Corsa for advice did help.
After going to a Corvette show last weekend, I realize there isn't a whole lot of effort put into tip alignment by some installers.

Exactly what did you have to do to align the tips?
I have them on my 07, along with LG Long tubes, free flow cats, and x-pipe. Just had my Chuck Cow 410 rear end put in last week. What a rocketship.... Unfortunately, I might now try out Borla's because the popping under decel is unbearable.

No, what you need to do is go with the Corsa Z06 exhaust. Have Bobby or Anthony At LG send you the 3" behind the X-pipe pipes. Also, take those damn cats out of line and the popping will decrease drastically. All they do is collect unburned fuel. That is what's causing the de-accell popping so badly. There is a definate hp/torque increase by going 3" all the way. Anthony at LG can explain it better than I can. That's why he has an engineering degree from Purdue. Me, I went to S I U.
