Default Hot Engine code after Header Install

I just finished installing 1 7/8" headers this weekend and I immediatley got a HOT ENGINE - AIR CONDITIONING OFF on my display and my Temperature sensor stopped working... I looked all over to see if I might have inadvertently unhooked a sensor but cant seem to find anything.

I cleared the code and it came right back.

I can't seem to identify where the Temprature Sensor even is.

I did break off part of a sensor on the lower side of the 6spd Transmission, the plug still seemed to work though...

Any thoughts?

I was looking around my engine bay today in preparation for my header install....I noticed a sender plugged into the head, just forward of the first cylinder on the left bank. I believe this is the temp sensor and it's close to the exhaust manifold...Check to see if you didn't inadvertantly damage it or break the wires..

Did you install a 160 t'stat? I am seeing the same thing. So are some others. Check out this thread:

Some folks say this can be taken out by changing a parameter in the tune.

You called it... I cracked the sending unit clasp and it had inadvertantly came partially unplugged. Thanks for your help!
