I am in the middle of removing the H pipe in order to install my FlowMaster axle kit. I removed all the bolts as per the instruction and I am pulling the H pipe forward to seperate it from the stock over axle pipeing but it will not budge. I tried tapping it with the hammer but still no go. Anyone have any tips on how to seperate the H pipe from the over the axle stock pipeing? I am stuck

OK, you have the 4 nuts off of the H-pipe CAT connections and that connection is swinging free.
2 nuts are off of the spring loaded hangers back at the exhaust pipe connections
and the clamps that hold the h-pipe into the exhaust pipes are fully loosened?
If so, man up and pull harder. Rock the H-pipe side to side, twist it. Just pull it off with more ooooomph! More strategic hammer taps might help break it free.

Sprayed the connections with some WD 40 and placed a rope around the "H" section of the pipe and I pulled the bad boy off. It fought a little but gave in. I am doing this on ramps so it is hard to get full torque when pulling.

Awwwwwright! Brute force beats intelligent solutions on exhaust pipe conundrums!
You shouldn't have to remove the h-pipe to install flowmasters...just have to lower the h-pipe down a little bit and they slide together or at least that's all it took for mine

Now you tell me. Trying to get under there and line everything up is making me

Your post title was H-Pipe removal. That's what got done.
Now, having said that, I was able to do the B&B cat back without dropping the H-pipe. Hell, you had fun getting all tough and in man power mode. Gotta get some fun out of skin removal and knuckle bustin!
Called my 25 year old muscle bound son and promised him a six pack and sat back and watched!
Easiest removal I have done to date.
"Good Luck" with your project!
Something seems so "dirty" with the method. Cheating comes to mind... How do you expect to make your donation of knuckle flesh or palm skin to the Corvette god without actually doing the work? Hmm.. I don't think a proxy skin donation counts.
However, I do endorse this method as I used it on my last fuel pump replacement on my Z28. Kids are good for a few things. Beer is such a cheap payment plan too!
Got the system together and had some issues with clearence over the rear and alignment of the quad tips. Decided to just take it over to the local muffler shop who got the tips pretty well aligned (still not perfect) and they found a way to get the over the axle pipes to clear the rear without rubbing. One other problem I had with the install was the chrome clamps that are to hold the over the axle pipes into the inlet of the mufflers weren't worth a damm so I had the shop weld them in for me. Took them about an hour and they charged me $50. They gave me a price of $100 the day prior to do the entire install and i have to say I would have rathered them do it. On ramps and jack stand it is not worth a $100 or headache.
Anywho, the sound is nice, deep, throaty and not nearly as loud as i thought it would be reading others reviews. i thought it could have even been a little louder. I also have not noticed the drone others are talking about, I do have a MN6 and rarely cruise at low rpm. All in all it was worth the $400 paid for and that included the muffler shops assistance. If I had to do it over again I would have just had them do it from the get go.
