Roof Problem
This is sort of technical, but more of a heads up.
I had some stress cracks in the clear top on my 05. Hairline spider cracks, very hard to see. I got it covered under warranty to my surprise, the dealership was very cool, more on that later.
Anyway, it turns out they could not even order a new roof until after Oct 10, because apparently have switched materials in the roof plastic. The new roof definetly is made from something different and seems to fit well. If yours is cracked take it in. Its a known issue and the should take care of you.
Also, Al Sera in Colorado Springs was awesome to deal with. There is not one stock part in the driveline of my car. I even have a C5 rear in it with heavy modification to the rear cradle. They fixed the roof, and an airbag issue with no questions asked. I kinda chuckled at this and the servce guy said unless I put the motor in through the steering wheel, the airbag was covered. The roof was a non issue. I was ready to hear, "your stroker motor vibrated the cracks in the roof". Very pleasant to deal with. I guess its good to hear a good dealer story once in a while.
