Sweet Sounds of American Muscle (Video's on U-tube)
I have 20,000 miles on my first set of tires, the ones that I did not have to buy. I had new tires purchased, and waiting to go on, but after realizing that the new ones are 1500-1600, I wanted to be sure I got every minute of FUN out of the old tires before pulling them off. So here is some of that fun.
Also, if you ever wanted to hear what a basically stock C6 sounds like with All Stainless Steel Billy Boat Header, X-pipes w/ Cats, and Bullit exhaust... have a listen, cranck it up.

here's me at the track doin' a small burnout.
Can you tell me your technique on how you did your "small" burnout with your A6? Doing OK on the ET's, but not able to do even a mini burnout.

I'm running on my normal street tires, so I just power stall (left foot on brake right foot on accelerator) until I hear it squeal a little and start to bite, then let off both and let it roll out..

From the drivers seat......
These were done in Chandler AZ. Right about where 56th street south of Chandler, crosses under the 202, just about a 1/4 mile south of Chandler Harley.
These tires had seen about 30 autocross runs, and had heat cycled so much they were hard. So breaking them loose was really not a problem. I have a manual tranny, so doing a braking burnout took a few tries. ... Break the tires loose quick, with high throttle on the punch... the high throttle will keep the car from launching cuz the tires will just hover, then quickly grab the brake pedal with the left foot (from clutch to brake).. keep riding the gas... the braking will be mostly up on the front wheels... play with the gas for awhile... pumping the trottle, then nail the gas, let off the brake... ride 1st for 2-3 second, and grab second while the tires are still spinning... and HANG ON... You'll get about 100 yards... maybe 125, and your speedometer will read about 90... and you'll hit about 70.
It was a sunday morning... so i figured maybe it was heard about 2- 3 miles away. Firebird raceway is 7 miles from my house, and I hear motorcycle and road cars all the time.... and the funny cars and boats out there rattle my house windows..
