Default Battery Hold Down

Is the only thing that holds the battery down the bolt and clamp in the front of the battery tray? (07 C6). What I mean is there anything in the rear of the tray that holds the battery down? I ask because it seems that there would be something in the rear as well to hold it down, but there is none on mine. Is it supposed to be that way? I had a devil of a time getting the front clamp tightened down enough to really hold the battery down and keep it from moving. Even after I did, I can still (if I push fairly good), move it. Every other car I have ever had, when you tighten the bracket down, the battery ain't going anywhere!

There is a lip on the back of the battery tray that goes over a ridge on the battery. Shove the battery all the way back and then tighten the plastic piece in front. Thats as good as it gets. If you really try to move it it will, thats the nature of the beast, but it won't come all the way out under normal circumstances.

Lots of my other GM vehicles have had this design but they held it more snugly. The tray and battery must not be matched correctly.
