Push switch on lower left side of dash. Best bet your knee hit it.

Dash dimmer switch is what they are alluding to. It can be pushed on the end to turn the map lights on for reading maps and stuff.

Had the same thing happen last month - I parked it a Harrahs and, by the time I got to the Borgata, the damned light was on and would not go off. So there I was - reading the owners manual with the valet. We both felt like idiots.

Check the dimmer button, then make sure no one hit the button on at the mirror. Mine was a combination of both - the valet at Harrahs hit the dimmer and, I guess, when he could not turn it off, he messed with the light switches on the mirror. Imagine the frustration we had at the Borgata to figure out the double light whammy created by the other guy.

If the dimmer button was in fact pushed without knowing, the under dash lights would stay on as well. If they are off, then something else is keeping the map lights on.

I think that button turns them on only at night.

On the mirror, remember that when the button is pushed IN, the light is off. Seems kinda backwards to me, but don't ask how I learned this. CF provided the answer for me a few weeks ago.............
