I know some have commented that the C6 sometimes can be a PITA when refueling, but up to now I've never had a problem.
A few days ago I pulled into a gas station with the fuel gauge at about 1/2. I started pumping and stopped for a second when I got to something like 8.5 Gals because I thought the nozzle should have clicked by then. I squeezed the lever again and gas instantly gushed out of the filler.
The only thing I can think of that would cause this is I happened to stop just as the tank got full, then I tried to put more in and it spilled out - but it's still strange that the pump didn't click.
Probably what happened. My son tried to teach me not to put even one cent more of gas in the tank after the nozzle clicks off. Did I listen? No! I had to learn the hard way. All I wanted to do was even out the amount. I had gas coming out from above the rocker panel. It took me a while to rinse it all out and wax it.
