Default Losing My Cherry this Fri.

Been building my 2005 MN6 Z51 for the track since May. This Fri the club is renting the track at Richmond for the day. I should get 20 or more passes, lots of practice.

CARTEK 2X Package: PP Heads & TB, Valves, Dual Springs, 228/228 - 114LSA @ .585, Ported FAST
Calloway CAI & Short Throw Shifter w/shift light
CARTEK Stage 8 HD Clutch, 4.10 HD rear w/DTE Brace
Kooks w/no CATS
42# Injectors & final tune by Ed (edmat-L1) (last dyno showed 98% duty cycle on the OEM injectors)
Roll Bar
MT ET Streets 315/35 R17s
Dynoed @ CARTEK 471/411 and 453/409 this week before my final tune w/larger injectors

Read all Ranger’s tips. Plan to start w/25 lbs in the slicks, launch @ 3500, sliding out the clutch until she hooks then squeezing it. Practiced a few times this past weekend.

If I break it - so what? But you can be assured that I’ve had a heck of a lota’ fun.

Wish me luck

John,
Of course good luck BUT don't think you'll need that much as that car is gonna be a ROCKET!!! Also be safe and warm into it . As you say you'll have 20 runs or so. After the first 5 or so...., LET 'ER RIP!!
Oh, last thing, can I lose my cherry TOO? LOL!

Awesome! Have fun. I have Two words of advice-

1. If you wheelhop GET OUT OF IT! That is the best way to break a rear. Abort the run and try another launch technique.

2. Don't be discouraged if you can't get 1.9 60 Fts or better for your first day. It took me a lot of practice to get 1.7's or better. Took me a lot of 2.x's to learn how. Its all about fun and that adrenelin rush you will get at the line for your first few events (sorry to say that wears off after your first couple of hundred runs!)
