I have a 06 C6 with 7500 miles on it..
at about 6500 miles I installed flowmaster exhaust & a Vararam Cold Air intake.
I dont drive it that much & even had to replace my battery ( warranty ) cuz my Valentine Radar detector stays on ( I wired it to my fuse box & forget to turn it off)
Any way ...
I run an errand in it tonight & notice the check engine light on....
I got the manual out & it says chek the fuel cap ( I did - OK)
No apparant exhaust restrictions & tomorrow I'll be able to raise the hood & check the intake for obstructions ( I dont think I'll find any)
Any Ideas ..
Has the computer finally figured out that I've increased the air flow thru the engine & glitching trying to adjust...?
It doesnt seem to be missing or hesitating...
Generally cai & catback systems do not alter the tune to the point you get CEL's . More than likely the radar detector was the culprit to
run the battery down. Suggest you get it scanned to find what the
code is from CEL. Then you will have a starting point.

Any body else with these mods had this problem???
Thanks in advance...
Walmart has Innova code readers . One is under $100 and well worth it. I keep mine in the car.
I got a CEL after installation of a CAI. I reset it and it never came back. Also got one from a loose fuel cap. I reset it too but under normal conditions it takes quiet a few ignition cycles to reset by itself.
Not all OBD code readers will read your vette. If you get a general purpose one and your vehicle does not recognize it you may not get a full refund because the device was not defective. Strongly suggest
you get one specifically for your car. A predator is more expensive but you can count on it.
Thanks for the tips!
I bet its gonna be just a few more cycles of ignition as my gas cap was loose....
BUT.....Looks like I prolly need to get one of these things.
Is this the one?
"Universal CAN Pro-Series OBDII Trouble Code Reader"
Is the interface slot located at the fuse box , passenger floor under carpet?
Can I do more than reset codes ? i.e. tune ? map? ( not sure I WANT to but just curious...
Which is better / more cost effective the Predator Diablo or the above mentioned..

On my 06 the OBDII connector is right under the dash just right of the steering column.
I thought about the Predator but not impressed with the tuning capabilities and have decided on an HP tune instead. I purchased the CANBUS reader from DIYDiagnostics. The reader wont tune of course but will read and clear codes.
